What happens when a shopping mall changes function halfway through construction? Faced with that dilemma, Forrec Inc. called Hesham el Tyeb, 3D visualization artist and graduate Architect, to create a virtual model of an entertainment centre in the incomplete mall space. Using an elaborate combination of architectural elements and intricate theme components, El Tyeb presented a complete and convincing mall makeover.

El-Tyeb finds that using formZ for modelling and Electric Image for rendering and animation gives him a successful combination for special effects in an architectural setting. This combination keeps clients within their presentation budgets and allows him to create models that retain an artistic rather than harsh photo realistic look.

Clients include architects, interior designers and exhibit designers. Prestigious international projects such as the National Museum in Saudi Arabia, the remodelling of the CN tower base for Trizec Inc., and the entertainment mall in Israel for Forrrec Inc., have been modeled by el Tyeb and his team.

Hesham el Tyeb chose formZ because he needed 3D modeling software that could detail enclosure parts (walls, doors, windows) easily, and then allow movement through these parts. Since one never knows at the outset exactly how the resulting model will look, formZ's modification tools, intelligent symbols and editable level of refinement are crucial to providing a level of speed and interactivity.
